“Amahoro” (Peace in Kinyarwanda language) is a very exciting collaboration between Celebrate Life Events and Rwandan Community in London on Sept 5th at Rich Mix venue . Rwandans in UK and Rwanda have been in process of healing and moving forward, at same time, since the Genocide in Rwanda in 1994, this event presents a message of peace and hope for the future.
It brings together a mix of Rwandan and guest artists on world music and spoken word scene, Rwandan dance performance and a short film of peace.
Headlining the show will be, Jean Paul Samputu, survivor of the genocide, leading spokesperson on peace and one the most prominent Africans musicians. Rising star on the world music scene in London, Namvula. Poet, comedian, musician and presenter, Mr Gee. And Jean-Brown aka Jean Nagabonzima, young London based Rwandan musician, writer and producer who speaks for the youth in Rwandan community.
